What is UX and UI design & why is it important?

Creating a nice and correct graphic design of web or mobile application requires knowledge of UX and UI and their proper deployment within the development. It is necessary to adhere to the general design principles and observe elements related to a particular product or brand.

When the first computer was introduced to the public, not everyone could work with it. Only those, who knew how to program (work with codes), were able to work with computer and create commands. So developers needed to find a way to make the computer more attractive to "ordinary" users. So as soon as the idea about GUI (Graphical User Interface) has arisen - various windows, folders, navigation menus and other features were created. And then it became easier for other "ordinary" users, too.  

What is UI? 

User interface - UI for short - includes individual screens, pages, subpages, buttons and other visual elements that help users to communicate with device or application. 

UI designers need to focus on designing easy-to-navigate and visually attractive software for all types of devices (PC, tablet, mobile). It has to be easy for users to identify every element's role & function and to get where they want on website or in application.

What is UX? 

User experience - UX for short - represents the user's overall experience with any application (mobile, desktop,...) that must be tailored to the target audience. The goal is to get a visitor/user from point A to point B in a simple process. When a customer uses your product, you want to get him to use it again and recommend it to his friends.

How to create a good UX design? The most important is to understand why users use your application and what they want (from it) - or - what they need to do. The aim is to ensure that the customer journey will be as simple as possible and intuitive for users/customers.

Why is UX and UI design so important? 

In today's fast-growing company those web and mobile applications that respond quickly and efficiently are becoming the most successful. If your subpage with specific product is loading 15 second longer than a competitor's subpage, it will be reflected in your site's traffic and sales-related numbers. Users often (or course not always) go on website knowing what they want and they want to find it as fast as possible. And then it is up to designers to create the right UI and UX design with the aim to navigate the visitor or user as effectively as possible.
