After hard work we've earned a Croatian Teambuilding vol. 3 - Trogir
From 16.8. to 20.8. most of our team embarked on a journey to (to Slovaks) well known Croatia in order to refresh our bodies and minds and to come up with new and more creative ideas. The aim was to strenghten our team cooperation and to use the fresh seaside air to work on creative projects and presentations.
We've set off from Bratislava at 6:30 AM and most of us used the ride to get some extra sleep (luckily not the drivers)...
What did our days look like?
Every morning we all woke up at around the same time and planned the agenda for the day. In the mornings we divided into four groups:
- Those who worked.
- Those working on a presentation for the evening.
- Those who cooked the lunch for all.
- Those who went to the beach.
After eating the lunch together we took a short nap and set out on a trip (Trogir, Split, ...). In the evening we got back to our accomodation and listened to our presentations on both technical and common topics. The aim was to learn something new and to familiarize with not so well known topics. One evening was dedicated to team-building games, that often helped to show one's character and reveal the best team role combinations.
Regular lunch together
Right at the beginning we've created 3 teams of 3 people (the Thursday team, the Friday team, the Saturday team), whose job was to plan and cook a lunch for 20 hungry colleagues. It wasn't an easy job, but the result was delicious - we've all been well fed. Wolud you like to know what dishes we had? This is our menu:
- Penne pizza ham con la rajčica grapolo
- Risotto chilli with chicken flavour
- Pennete rajčica with olives and extra salad
And the winners of the best Croatian lunch are:
We've learned to stand...on a paddleboard
Paddleboard is nowadays our favourite water entertainment. To keep up with the current trends, we brought one to Croatia with us. And then it all started...most of the time spent in the water we've spent trying to get to the paddleboard, stand on it (this was a bit of a challenge) and to stay on it (the hardest thing to do).
From our numerous attempts we've created a great video, that you can find at the end of this article. :)
Hot sunbeams and refreshing water...a very pleasant combination for all of us.
Sightseeing in Trogir and Split
Trogir is a town situated on a small island between the island Čiovo and mainland. Sometimes it is called "Little Venice", thanks to it's many cultural and historical sights, exceptional arcchitecture and beautiful alleys.
We got here in the evening hours and had a really charming experience. We've walked the narrow alleys, visited The Fortress Kamerlengo, the Bell Tower directly in the heart of the town and enjoyed beautiful views.
One afternoon we set out to Split, known as the city of southern vividnessthe city of southern vividness the crossroads of all roads in the Central Adriatic. We've strolled down the alleys of the historical center, visited the impressive palace complex with a well-preserved Roman architecture. Some of us remained in the city to explore its corners and various historical sights, others spent the afternoon sea bathing at the beautiful Kasjuni Beach in the national park.
In order not to get lost, we followed the white hat...
To see the best views, we had to walk quite a few stairs.
A beautiful sunset at the Kasjuni Beach at Split...
We also brought along our serverist Dandy. He didn't work at all and spent the whole time sunbathing. If you want to see all his adventures, follow him on Instagram.
Do you see the smiles on our faces? Our teambuilding in Croatia turned out well!
